About 5 million people live in Donetsk Region, wich is 10 per cent of the population of Ukraine.

The region consists of 28 cities of regional and 23 cities of district submiting, 21 districts, 17 village areas, 134 town villages, 253 village and 83 town village counsils,1124 villages.

Industrial potential of region consists of 20% industrial production of Ukraine. More than a half of mining extraction, 45% cast iron, steel, rolled goods production. About 25 thousand middle and small business enterprises function in the region.

Special regime of investition does in 19 cities and 6 districts. Nowdays 140 investitional projects are realizing in industry ($1033.2 million) http://www.sez-tpd.org.ua

Center

The Center was founded in 1996.
It places in the center of Donetsk, has comfort approuches from all stations and airport. The Center has own hotel for 150 places.

Structure

The Center consists of 3 departments:

• studing methodical;
• studing organazational;
• scientific investigations laboratory of the problems of personnel management.

Three cathedras are founded for the organization of studing process:

• state management and local government;
• informational and communicative technologies;
• regional development and global integration.

Scientific-methodical counsil works in the Center. Professionals are invited here.

Tasks and Diractions of Work

The maine task of the Center is additional training and improving qualification of:

• state workers;
• workers of local government;
• deputates of region;
• leaders of state enterprises, institutions and organizations

More than 50 leaders of communal newspapers and teleradiocompanies study at thematical workshops.

Directions of scientific investigations and training:

• European integration and regional development;
• strategy planning;
• business-planning;
• marketing;
• finansial management;
  selection of personnel and improving their qualification;
  managment of personnel of enterprises and organizations.

STAFF

The Center has 21 workers, including 1 Doctors of Science, professors, 3 Masters of Science, 1 Magister of State Management.

Educational process is ensured under payment by the hour by:

• 13 Doctors of Science, professors;
• 54 Masters of Science, assistant professors;
• 180 Workers of State Power Institutions, Institutions of Local Government

MATERIAL FOUNDATION

• 8 rooms for staff;
• lecture-halls for 260 places;
• assembly hall for 450 places;
• computer hall with computer net and Internet;
• scientific investigations laboratory;
• library with reading hall for 30 places and fund more than 42 thousand books.
